Background
Cassandra Patton, ‘Cass’ Patton is a graduate of the Art Institute of Colorado. She holds a Bachelors Degree of Applied Science in Graphic Design.
In addition to digital artwork and photography, Cass enjoys drawing, painting, and sculpting. She is passionate for all types of design and appreciates spatial awareness, color theory, and typography. She also enjoys co-working with interior designers, architects, and other artists.
Early Career
Cass held an internship while in college where she designed fire suits and pit crew uniforms for National Motorsport Teams. She also created merchandise and album artwork for local musicians and assisted friends and family with branding.
After college, her creativity flourished at a local print shop. She developed client relationships, logos, wedding invitations, postcards, banners, newsletters, calendars, and digitized photos. She also became skilled in variable data, as well as offset and digital print setups.
This experience was foundational in working within a team. From pre-press, digital and offset press rooms, bindery, and sales floor experience. All of this added to a deeper understanding and shaped the logic behind every creative she would produce. From color selection to paper options, press choice, client communication, and final products, working in a print shop was priceless!

True to her career, Cass has experienced many creative roles from Graphic Designer to Executive Director. Her artwork continues to be recognized through awards, promotions, and presentations.
Her portfolio continues to grow. Projects range from simple promotional items to magazine layouts, multi-media commercials, sales tools, branding, real estate, websites, social media, screen print, and sublimation layout.
Photography
Cass enjoys photographing landscapes and wildlife, as well as utilizing the camera for marketing and promotional photography. Her photography has been published in several periodicals. Four of her images are also featured in the Colorado Scenic Byway collection traveling across the State of Colorado.
Fun Fact: Cass’ cover image of the 2026 Colorado Wildlife Calendar was publicly recognized by world-renowned photographer, John Fielder.
Tourism Director
Cass stepped into the tourism industry in 2013 as Tourism Director for Clear Creek County, Colorado. She worked with State Representatives, County Commissioners, Elected Officials, and local municipal entities. From recreation to transportation, businesses and tourism attractions, Cass created meaningful marketing to put Clear Creek County on the map.
Cass was recognized for her accomplishments in place making success by the Colorado Tourism Office. She was invited as a panelist at the 2019 Governors Tourism Conference to speak to her place making success.
As County Tourism Director, Cass served the four municipalities of Idaho Springs, Empire, Georgetown, and Silver Plume, Colorado. Cass was truly a tourism ambassador. She sat on many local and regional committees, worked to improve tourism, stayed connected, and studied market trends.
Creativity
Cass is an accomplished leader for team building, meetings, strategic planning, feasibility studies, presentations, trainings, and seminars. She takes pride in working well with other organizations.
Her creativity knows no limits…. In her time as Tourism Director, Cass redesigned the County gateway signage, built a new micro-information center, established social media channels, developed websites, started a county-wide visitor guide, created trail maps, building signage, recorded radio ads, designed transit ads and billboards, purchased digital network buys, and created all supporting graphics!
From simple event posters, banners, ribbon cutting materials, and special event materials, she literally did it all! And did we mention bookkeeping, payroll, and taxes? Not very ‘creative’, but, yes – she did that too!
Accessible Tourism became a passion project and Cass worked to compile an opportunity list for those visiting with special needs. This idea became a marketing campaign and an added opportunity for the community. Highlighting trails for the handicap and blind, rafting and zipline opportunities, special accommodations, pools with assisted lifts, and special restaurants. Moments like these are where she would shine and bring a new light to an area that was identified.
Proven Grant Writer
Earning more than $300k in grants, Cass has successfully obtained grant funding for marketing and advertising projects. Not only was she responsible for writing and submitting the grants but also for facilitating and executing the projects within and completing the final recap reports and measuring the success of the projects. Her ability to understand and execute on both a creative and business side is impressive.

Currently freelancing and working on passion projects, Cass is staying up to date with design trends, and learning more about the connectivity to AI. She is open to exploring new positions and industries where she can share her skill set and design knowledge…
